Hello. This is my first post in English so that my English speaking friends can finally read my writings as well :)
Today I would like to share a tip for all the massage practitioners and everybody who is using massage table in their work with clients. A few years ago I visited Bangkok and had a pleasure of living in a luxury hotel not far from the downtown. I experienced a beautiful massage session there that I still recall with details.
First of all, people of Thailand are extremely respectful and humble not only to each other but for guests and tourists. Their way of serving each other is simply beautiful and truly remarkable. The massage session took place in one of Spa rooms on a special Spa level of that hotel (I wish I could remember its name).
The session itself was of course one of a kind. It was a little Thai lady who was doing it to me but with her being so tiny, she was still able to completely relax me from head to toes and massage all of the stiffed stressed muscles away. The whole session I never felt anything but her wonderful skillful hands and fingers. I didn't feel her body, feet, hair or parts of clothes, not even accidentally for a quick second. Only her hands. Even when she was right on top of me, on the table itself, doing some peculiar Thai massage tricks on my back, I was still feeling only her hands.
While my face was down, I was able to experience a little bit of beauty even there. How? Here it is, little trick from Thai people that I have never met elsewhere since then. To everybody who is doing any kind of body work, implementing this beautiful detail can significantly increase the quality of service and uplift the mood of the client :)
Asian Secret: Right under my face there was a beautiful ancient-looking basin with flowers floating in the water. Truly an esthetic pleasure for the eyes.
Couple other things worth mentioning: she didn't tell me a single word throughout the whole session. In the quick moments I saw a little bit of her feet, they were beautifully groomed, and nail polished. Having a little toe jewelry would enhance the esthetic experience, of course (to those ladies, who are doing massage barefoot). She was quiet, gentle, extremely thoughtful and respectful. I felt myself a little bit of a Queen or a Goddess after that Spa hour. There was a light floral scent in the air, the room was quiet, warm enough and welcoming.
Please, incorporate this little tip to your massage work and I promise, you will not regret it ;)
