The thing is, everybody is injured. In one way or another. If we are looking to find a person who is completely happy, and will make us happy because of that, that is wrong. That is not correct, not a tiny bit.
Everybody got hurt, a few times, many times, just recently or long time ago. We all have this, we all have wounds and scars. Even if we healed, scars are still there. And when we meet each other, it is the matter of accepting these scars. However big or scary they are. They are there and will be there. We are not able to magically erase them. We can only take care of ourselves and be our best selves with this other person. All people will reveal them sooner or later. At that moment, we need to decided whether we simply accept that and stay, or this is something that is, for whatever reason, is absolutely unacceptable for us, and then we need to go away. We SHOULD NOT stay and make that person become someone who he or she is not. This will not happen, never. This person has this injury and it is a part of them. If we claim to love or accept that person, we do that together with these scars.
So, we are not able to find this special someone, who will make all our dreams come true and change our life dramatically. Because this person doesn't exist. Outside. This person is within you. Right there where your heart is, inside your chest. That is the place where we can take a look and do some healing. That is where we can find happiness and light and then share this happiness with someone who happens to be beside us. Not vice versa. Only then we are able to be happy together with someone. Only then we can stay and keep this happiness, and carry it throughout time. Our scars are all different, ugly, deep, maybe still bleeding, maybe just hurt from time to time. Maybe just remind us of what happened by its intricate pattern. Accepting each other with all of this, fully, is what true love means.
Also, if this person decide they need to go and heal more, let them do that. If they wish to stay and do that beside you, let them do that. Whatever is better, let them do that.
